Early Career 1

New graduate speech pathologist. The focus is on building up clinical knowledge and the capacity to maintain a full case load. Therapists are expected to meet basic KPIs (e.g. completing clinical notes, replying to emails and completing reports) and they require ongoing supervision of day to day clinical work.

Early Career 2

Clinicians with a minimum of one year experience. Therapists are expected to manage a full caseload independently but will still require regular supervision. They get involved in creating content for social media and newsletters and assist in the delivery of workshops.

Early Career 3

Therapists continue to focus on maintaining a full caseload independently with regular supervision. They get involved in planning and delivering internal professional development and provide regular supervision to therapy assistants.

Early Career 4

On top of maintaining their clinical caseload, therapists are given opportunities to design and/or implement quality improvement projects. They also get involved in educating and presenting information about speech pathology to others.

Team Lead 1

Therapists now become responsible for managing and supervising a team of 3-4 junior therapists. They review and edit reports written by the team and assist with managing and supervising students on clinical placements.

Team Lead 2

As well as managing and supervising a team of therapists, clinicians at this level will also assist the director with interviewing of applicants, onboarding and training of new team members, Performance Reviews of team members, planning of team meetings and professional development content and running the team meetings as is required.

Team Lead 3

At this level clinicians will be managing and supervising their own team of therapists and will get involved in designing and delivering workshops to parents, educators and allied health professionals. They also organise and manage student placement programs.

Clinical Director

The clinical director manages, supports and supervises all the team leaders. They contribute to Performance Reviews of team members, assist in assuring compliance to Code of Ethics (SPA & NDIS), SL&G Policy and Procedures and the values of our organisation. 

Design, deliver and/or oversee quality improvement projects.
